3 Beauty Blogs You Need To Follow Now

Since I stepped into the world of blogging, I’ve realised things, like Kylie Jenner realising stuff. All this time I’ve just been watching makeup tutorials on YouTube, but I never fully appreciated the blogs out there!

Don’t get me wrong, I love YouTube and watching beauty vloggers – I’m on the ‘tube every night. I fall asleep watching videos! But all that time spent watching videos could have been spent reading blogs too. There’s something about writing that gets me. I mean, videos are a great way to personally connect with the viewing audience, but I lean towards writing now as I think there’s an art to it. I’ve always loved reading all kinds of things.

So here are some of my favourite beauty/makeup blogs to read. Please leave a comment at the bottom of the post if you have some favourites of your own.

Nik, The Makeup Junkie

I love reading Nikki’s posts, in particular her reviews. I really enjoyed her take on the ABH Subculture palette, as we all know it’s completely divided the beauty community. The thing that make beauty bloggers/vloggers stand out to me is when they don’t let other people’s opinions sway their own. And that’s exactly what Nikki does.

Please check out some of her other posts as well, you won’t be disappointed!

The Makeup Directory

I’ve been lurking around on The Makeup Directory for a while. Sally has so many great posts on a variety of topics, not just beauty. Right now I love her series on blogging – it actually helped me kickstart this very blog itself.

If you’ve just started your own beauty blog, I’d definitely check this one out.

A Model Recommends

Ruth’s take on the modelling and beauty industry is a fresh breath of air. Sometimes you never know what products are really as good as they claim to be, even with the crème de la crème of makeup artists praising the heavens out of a particular item (shock horror, they’re more than likely being paid to do so). I respect Ruth so much for creating a blog on what she recommends, considering modelling is her career.

She’s also super picky about who she works with, so I can trust that if she suggests a product, I know it’s coming from her.
