Fantastic Face Masks You Need To Try

I’m going to be completely honest with you, I have been trying to think of things to write about for like 2 weeks. At one point I thought I wasn’t going to get anywhere, but literally 5 minutes ago I was thinking how I would really love to slap on one of my beloved face masks right now… And here we are!

Please note that all pricing is in AUD. Happy masking!

1. Lush Cosmetics Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask – $13.95

I went shopping at Penrith Plaza last week with one of my besties, and you can’t not walk past Lush (unless you have amazing willpower… in that case, please give me some of that!) So we went in and browsed around. And this mask is what I left with. The sales assistant tried it on my arm in the store, and it felt pretty good! It contains lavender (French lavender, in fact) which helps balance the skin’s sebum production. So I took it home to try, and it felt even better after I put it on my face!

Because you need to keep it in the fridge, it does feel cold when you put it on. But at the time my face was a bit hot and red from a chemical peel I had a few days before, so the cold mask on my face felt so good. Sort of like when you keep your eye cream in the fridge and put it on, but even better. Smells kind of weird, but not too strong. After I removed the mask, my skin felt ridiculously smooth. Seriously impressed with Lush face masks.

My face didn’t feel dry, and I noticed results for days afterwards. I rate it 8/10.

(I’m really picky, so you’ll rarely see a 10/10 from me)

2. Essano Clarifying Clay Masque – $16.99

I was in my local Woolworths one day when I took a trip down the beauty aisle (sorry wallet), and got a few Essano products that were on sale – this was one of them. When I opened the pot, all I could smell was rosy goodness. I couldn’t wait to try it on!

I left this on for about 15 minutes, and after my face felt pretty good. A little bit red afterwards, but it didn’t go beyond that. It left my skin feeling very hydrated and not dried up at all. I rate it a 6/10.

While it was good, it just didn’t compare to the Love Lettuce mask.

3. Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask – $11

I used this mask for a very long time. I didn’t use it often as it was an absolute chore to try and wash it off, but when I did, my skin loved it. It cleans out pores like there’s no tomorrow. It can feel very dry though, so if you have dry skin you’ll need to add a heavy dose of moisturizer afterwards.

I stopped using it recently, because my skin has now decided that it doesn’t like this mask. I put it on a few weeks ago, and left my skin feeling red and itchy… combine that with a beauty appointment to rush to in 30 mins – YIKES.

Regardless, I give it a 7/10.

So that’s what I have at the moment. I will come back and update this if I find anything else I like.

Otherwise let me know what works for you, and I’ll give it a go.
